Sablés are mouth-watering treats that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. In the lunch box it's a perfect snack for energised kids ;). Cleo and Archi love them covered with sparkles and chocolate chunks but for a lighter version, you can add just a lemon zest in the dough. They can be kept in metal box for a few days.

preparation time: 5 min for making the dough till 20 min for the kids to enjoy shaping and decoration

cooking: 12 min

Ingredients for 12 big sablés:

  • 250g of unbleached flour

  • 125g of butter

  • 75 g of raw sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1tsp of vanilla flavour

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • any decoration from your pantry: sprinkles, chocolate chunck

Method:

  • launch the oven at 200°C

  • put the butter in the mixing bowl to melt it, speed 1.5, 1min at 37°C.

  • add the flour, sugar, egg, vanilla flavour, use dough mode, 2 min.

  • put the dough in a mixing bowl, stretch it and cut 12 pieces.
